Cassava Health Monitoring Cat Litter 2.0 uses a silica-free corn and cassava starch base with a color-changing urinary pH indicator
Qingdao, China, October 5, 2026 -- Magnet Cat Litter, a Qingdao, China-based cat litter manufacturer, launched a plant-based health monitoring cat litter line on August 1, 2026, for international wholesale and private label distribution. The new formulation, called Cassava Health Monitoring Cat Litter 2.0, uses a silica-free blend of food-grade corn and cassava starch with a color-changing indicator to flag possible urinary pH changes in cats.
Clumps formed by the litter remain unchanged when a cat's urine falls within a normal pH range. When urine becomes overly acidic, the clumps turn pink, a change that may point to calcium oxalate crystal formation; when urine becomes overly alkaline, the clumps turn blue, which may indicate struvite crystals, a urinary tract infection or cystitis. The color change stays visible for more than 72 hours, giving pet owners a window to review the litter box and consult a veterinarian if a change appears. The formula is made from 60 percent food-grade corn starch and 40 percent food-grade cassava starch, producing a biodegradable, flushable litter with a granule size of 0.5 to 3 millimeters and a bulk density of 500 to 550 grams per liter. Clumps form within three seconds without guar gum or other artificial binders, and the product contains no silica, calcium carbonate fillers, formaldehyde, aflatoxins, mold or salmonella. The formulation extends the company's cassava cat litter range. Companion products in the health monitoring line include Cassava Health Monitoring Cat Litter 1.0 and Tofu Health Monitoring Cat Litter.
The health monitoring line is available to international pet retailers and distributors through Magnet Cat Litter's wholesale and OEM/ODM programs, which include custom formulas, bag sizing and packaging design with a minimum order quantity of 10 tons.
