The public showcase documents nine automation systems for South African professional services firms

Pretoria, South Africa, September 22, 2026 -- Cobus van Vuuren, a South African business systems and AI consultant, has launched a public showcase featuring nine automation systems built within the practice, giving accountants, attorneys and financial advisers a concrete reference point for what operational automation involves before commissioning further work.

The showcase includes Okapi, a file-based operating system the practice runs its own workflow through, and Oxpecker, a tool that analyses public customer reviews for recurring problems and supporting review excerpts. Full details of all nine systems, including their build architecture and use cases, are set out on the AI Automation page, which separately describes six AI employee roles covering client intake, messaging, estimate generation, quote follow-up, operational analysis and financial reporting. Oxpecker is documented on its own Oxpecker page.

The showcase sits ahead of the practice's Business Automation Assessment, a once-off diagnostic built around a 90-minute process intake that produces a prioritised 90-day implementation plan. Further background on the practice and its assessment structure is available via Cobus van Vuuren.

"Documenting how a workflow actually runs before automating it is the first step toward choosing the right system for a practice," said Cobus van Vuuren, Business Systems & AI Consultant.

"The assessment identifies exactly where billable hours leak into manual admin and prices those hours directly against the firm's billing rate," van Vuuren said.

The Business Automation Assessment is aimed at South African professional services firms with 3 to 50 staff. A written report is delivered within five business days and ranks automation opportunities by return on investment.
