The Arizona author marks copyright registration for The Evil Spirit Murders, DESTINY, The Prescott Murders, and Like Chasing a Ghost while spotlighting his frontier mystery.
Los Angeles, California Nov 3, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Andy Mitchell announces U.S. copyright registration for four books, marking a milestone in a career rooted in Arizona history, mystery, adventure, and suspense. The registered titles are The Evil Spirit Murders, DESTINY, The Prescott Murders, and Like Chasing a Ghost.
At the center of the announcement is The Prescott Murders, a frontier mystery set in Prescott, Arizona Territory. The story begins when the town's mayor is shot at the conclusion of the annual Horribles Parade. The killing draws Haseya, an inexperienced amateur investigator, into a case that grows dangerous and complicated.
Haseya faces resistance from the sheriff while attempting to establish her investigative business and uncover the truth. Two ragtag assistants soon join her efforts, although their uncertain abilities could provide support or create further trouble. As additional murders unsettle the community, a prime suspect emerges. Haseya must determine whether the evidence proves guilt or reveals that an innocent person has become the target of suspicion.
Combining historical atmosphere with escalating tension, The Prescott Murders follows a determined investigator confronting official interference, limited experience, and a widening trail of violence. Prescott's frontier setting provides a backdrop for a mystery driven by danger, uncertainty, and the difficult search for credible proof.
Andy Mitchell is an Arizona native whose professional life was spent building a real estate career and managing apartments and single-family homes. After selling his final properties and retiring, he turned his attention to fiction. Arizona's landscapes and frontier history now inspire stories populated by complex characters and layered conflicts.
Based in Prescott with his wife, Pam, Mitchell continues developing narratives across mystery, suspense, and adventure. The copyright registration of The Evil Spirit Murders, DESTINY, The Prescott Murders, and Like Chasing a Ghost recognizes the full range of his catalog. The books are available through Amazon and other leading online booksellers.
